Well, the way to man’s heart *is* supposed to be through his stomach. July 1, 2006

Posted by noodlebandit in Flying Spaghetti Monster, FSM, Humor.

The Flying Spaghetti Monster is one of my favorite things about the internet. I’m not quite sure why, but it’s probably the same reason most KoLers are enchanted with it. Pirates and well, noodles. When the declining number of pirates is linked to global warming, you just have to be amused.

It’s not just KoLers either, people all around are interested. Or amused at the very least, even my mother laughed when I was explaining the Flying Spaghetti Monster to her. Amusingly enough, he seems to be all around us once you start looking. From people drawing the FSM on the sidewalk, to his picture being hung in dorm rooms. There is even a guide teaching you how to make FSM jewelry. And let’s not forget In The Puddle, an online comic which has mentioned the Noodley Master a few times, the most recent being my favorite.

Have You Been Touched?

Spencer Drake, Antipode, Alhanna, my MrKyttie, and myself all went to see “Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man’s Chest” the night after it opened, and we were all dressed as pirates. Afterwards, we went out to a bar for a few drinks, still in full pirate regalia.

If anyone were ballsy enough to come up and ask us why we were dressed as pirates, we were going to start proselytizing for Pastafarianism, and exalting the greatness of the FSM. Alas, nobody came up to ask. :( We phail.

It’s Australian census night next Monday night. Already there is a campaign to get people to write “pastafarianism” as their religion, similar to the Jedi quest a couple of years ago. Some details:

Fourth post down. I’d narrow it to a single URL, but I phail.

3. Pastor Len Guini - November 22, 2006

Back in July, we put out the call for Australian Pastafarians to count themselves in for the 2006 Census (see http://noodlynation.blogspot.com/2006/07/fsm-you-know-it-makes-census_25.html). And, harrr, they did in great numbers, from the messages we’ve had coming back in.

Now to get Pastafarian chaplains into schools, for the benefit of our children (and some nourishing carbs).

Pastor Len
